Laying the foundation for

america’s energy future

Ozinga Ready Mix Concrete, the 85 year-old, fourth-generation family-run concrete business that has helped build and grow the Midwest, is now helping lay the foundation for the nation’s clean energy future with integrated natural gas fueling solutions.

Demonstrating their commitment to clean, affordable, American energy, Ozinga has added 50 compressed natural gas (CNG) concrete mixers to its fleet since late 2011. Further, Ozinga has pledged to convert or replace its entire fleet of more than 500 concrete mixers and support vehicles to CNG by 2020.

Complementing their CNG fleet, Ozinga has developed a state-of-the-art fueling station that they have opened to local businesses and municipalities using natural gas vehicles. The station can accommodate fleets with medium and heavy-duty trucks as well as regular cars, making it the first of its kind in Chicago. Ozinga Energy plans to expand the Midwest’s alternative fuel infrastructure by constructing and operating additional fueling stations in Chicago and throughout the Midwest.
